2016 Subaru Legacy vs. 2016 Toyota Camry

  • The Legacy comes with standard symmetrical all-wheel drive on all models, while the Camry only has front-wheel drive. The differences in the two is incomparable to say the least. Drivers who have driven all-wheel drive tend to never go back to front-wheel.
  • Usually cars with all-wheel drive tend to cost a lot more than front-wheel drive cars. That's not the case here though as the Legacy costs over $1000 less than the Camry at base MSRP.
  • The Legacy has a better fuel economy, with a combined mpg of 30 compared to the Camry's combined 28 mpg. Combine that with the larger fuel tank in the Legacy and you'll be saving money every mile you don't have to stop for gas.

2016 Legacy vs. 2016 Volkswagen Passat

  • Again the Legacy comes with standard all-wheel drive while the Passat only has front-wheel drive. It also comes with standard power windows, while the Passat does not.
  • The Legacy has a more powerful engine, with a 2.5-liter engine with 175 horsepower compared to a 1.8-liter engine with 170 horsepower.
  • The legacy has a better average combined fuel economy with 30 mpg, compared to 29 mpg in the Passat.
